Te Winika's strategy to add lots of numbers
Today Miss Bolton gave the MST 2 group a problem to solve. Everyone shared their solutions. Miss Bolton recorded Te Winika's explanation because it was a good way of using adding to 10 to help solve a problem and it was an example of an early Stage 5 addition strategy.
Listen to the Fotobabble to hear Te Winika's strategy.

Learning strategies
One way that we are learning during MST time is to repeat other student's strategies and ideas. We do this to make sure we are actively listening to each other and we understand what they are saying.
This audioboo recording is of MST group 1 listening to each other and repeating a multiplication strategy.
Remember to leave a comment if you think we've done a good job!
Multiplication Strategy - Repeated addition
We have been learning to use addition as a way to solve multiplication equations. Here is a recording of MST group 2 explaining how to use repeated addition.
